These LiFePO4 batteries offer a significant weight advantage, being less than half the weight of traditional Lead Acid batteries. The SB2214 model represents the forefront of power storage technology. While they may resemble lead acid batteries externally, they are fundamentally different, utilizing advanced LiFePO4 polymer pouch cells commonly used in portable devices. An integrated battery management system (BMS) ensures uniform charging and discharging, providing protection against short circuits, overcurrent, and reverse polarity. This system offers superior safety compared to unprotected lead acid batteries, which can rapidly discharge under short circuit conditions, posing fire and damage risks. The BMS also regulates discharge and cut-off voltage to safeguard the internal cells.
This 50Ah model supports continuous current up to 50A, making it ideal for high-capacity portable power applications and as a replacement for similar capacity lead acid or AGM batteries.
